Ritz Carlton: The Residences Review.

What a wonderful question – and one that most of us ask only when we’re on vacation in a topnotch hotel. Today, however, there are a fortunate few around the world who live in condominiums situated above 5-Star hotels, and accessing room service can be part of their everyday lives. That opportunity is opening up in Toronto, with an influx of sumptuous residences being built atop superb hotels. Talk about the height of luxury! In addition to spacious suites that live like low-rise homes, these residences offer access to luxuriant hotel amenities and the ultra-convenience of hotel services, from housekeeping to dog-walking.
I travel a lot internationally, and I can tell you that in Toronto, we are setting new world standards when it comes to the luxury market. Oh, you can buy a suite in a gorgeous building in New York, but you will not be offered the opportunity to select finishes, which are simply provided by the developer. Sure, Las Vegas is home to some spectacular condos, but you will find that many of the fabulous finishes in our suites here are considered upgrades there, or are not available at all.
In Toronto, those shopping for the best of the best have a variety of locations to choose from. Several prestigious hotel chains are offering condominium residences, such as The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto. It may seem like another world for most, knowing that there are so many condos in Toronto that begin in price from a million dollars and go up from there! But there are many privileged buyers out there who are ultra-wealthy and who are moving from large estate homes. They want more convenience and less space, but they are not willing to give up ultra-quality and the ability to entertain and relax in style.
Living in the same building as a hotel is wonderful from the moment you walk into the lobby, which is in essence part of your home. Walking into your lobby offers an immediate sense of place – a first impression that hints at what is to come in the rest of the building. And in fine hotels, the lobby is home to the concierge. If there’s one thing about condo living that feels like you’re in a luxury hotel, it’s being greeted by this professional who is basically there to pamper you. He or she will book theatre tickets, take deliveries, put delivered groceries into the suite, arrange for cars to be washed, book taxis or limos to the airport and more.
Anyone who travels first class understands the appeal of 5-star hotel services and amenities. By living in a condominium that offers these luxuries on a daily basis, you can feel like you are on vacation 365 days a year!
