Luxurious Traditional Kitchen Ideas

We love traditional kitchens that exude a warm and welcoming spirit. Characteristics of these charming kitchens include inviting color schemes, plentiful pattern, a myriad of finishes, lots of tactile-friendly textures and bountiful lighting. Parisian Pad
As the design world descends on Paris for Maison & Objet, we revisit our feature on Patrick Perrin. The PAD art fair co-founder and fourth-generation Parisian art dealer has filled his apartment with inherited treasures and modern finds, creating a serene and soigné home in a Saint-Germain building that has been in his family for nearly 100 years.

Refreshing Apartment Design Overlooking Sarah Roosevelt Park in New York, USA
Buro Koray Duman Architects completed the renovation of a 750 square foot apartment with a bold and sculptural character, The architects converted the initial three-bedroom dark space from the 1980 into a one-bedroom home with plenty of light and a flexible layout. Located on the corner of the 5th floor of a tenement building overlooking Sarah Roosevelt Park in New York, USA, the apartment offers extensive city views. Its interior is divided by a sculptural wave-like wall that houses the laundry, storage and the powder room.

1884 Caviar Warehouse Transformed Into Spectacular Loft in New York
Architect Andrew Franz converted a former caviar warehouse into a spectacular loft. Originally built in 1884, the building is located in Manhattan’s landmarked Tribeca North area and displays authenticity throughout. This residential project presented in the photos below is a renovation of the 3,000-square-feet top floor and roof. With flexible living in mind, the architects envisioned open entertaining spaces and an great connection with the outdoors.

But according to the designer, the kitchen did feel dull, therefore needed an upgrade. It’s the feeling you get once you get too used to a certain thing. It becomes mundane and then, out of the sudden, it doesn’t feel interesting anymore.
